Catalog Description:
This course provides students with a foundation in the two basic types of graphics software, vector (drawing) and raster (painting/photography). Topics include integration of traditional design, color, and compositional principles with contemporary digital tools. Students will work on a variety of digital projects involving drawing, design, typography, photographic manipulation, and animation.

Alter Ego Mask!
Create an Alter Ego Mask. This is your refined design from PR3-1 Document your research (Drawings, sketches, inspirations) on your blog/website. You will be creating a mask that could be potentially worn by you. It is your alter-ego. What does that look like? Your final image will be placed into the Adobe InDesign Template. You will write about your mask, deciding on the font to include into the template. Make sure your name is present on this print-ready .pdf document. You will export to a print quality pdf, what dpi is that? Follow the procedures listed below.
WRITTEN PORTION: Write 2-3 paragraphs about your mask. Refer to the assignment description to assist in your writing. This writing will added to your placed image in Indesign. Please review the next pages about Mask designs.

Design a poster for a movie of your own making. You come up with the title, the genre, theme, story line, cast and crew. You will make the logotype and credits for the title in Illustrator and import it into Photoshop. Finishing the poster off in Adobe Photoshop using filters, adjustment layers, painting, etc. You will be using photos you take yourself.
